I have been blessed with some great family, friends, and employment opportunities, but I'm always pulled to experiment. To leave behind the old and try something new. While I admire many outstanding traditional quilters I find it almost painful to follow someone else's directions. That's probably how many of us ended up creating art quilts.

In case you haven't noticed, this site is under construction. I'm not a big fan of "Under Construction" Banners. Links work as I develop the pages. More quilts appear as I size and load the images. It is such fun to pull together all of these interests into a web site, which is a creative endeavor in itself.

Run Birdies Run Close Up of Front Runners Close Up of Toothy Fellow

Run Birdies Run is my most recently completed quilt. I was sewing on the label 2 minutes before getting in the car and racing toward the quilt show, hoping I'd make it by the 9:00 pm cut off point. If you point your mouse at the birds you can see two close ups.

A lot of my work deals with what I suspect are the details we just don't catch as we're busy with our daily lives. Fairies and Nymphs, Fantasies and Miracles. If we weren't folding laundry, getting the kids to bed, getting the kids back up again for school, and wondering how they can possibly be old enough to drive, but yet can't seem to find the laundry room, what else would we notice? What else would we see?
